Traveling with kids to warmer climates? Here are 5 helpful tips:

-Book red eye flights so that your kids will sleep the entire flight. Especially if you have kids who have started to crawl or fussy from teething.

-When renting a car it’s always best to bring your own car seats. Renting them cost about $25/each. Yes, It’s a pain to carry them but on the plus side… Airlines don’t charge you to check them at the ticketing booth.

-Pack a Medical Kit that includes: Tylenol (acetaminophen), Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), Benadryl (diphenhydramine), Pepto Bismol, Chewable antacid and/or Emetrol, Tweezers, Digital thermometer, Bandages, Sunscreen, Alcohol wipes, Baby nail clippers, Child-safe insect repellent and Saline solution.

-Best to go to the beach in the hot summer months for no more than 45-50 minutes at a time to reduce heat exhaustion and sun burns. Don’t forget to bring sun screen, a sun shade, sunglasses and sun hats.

-Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water + coconut water. A popsicle is a fun treat too!

Have a wonderful+safe summer holiday!

Joshua and I were on a road trip this past weekend and we realized (as we were singing in the car) that we make up a lot of words to the songs we sing to Olive. So, I thought it would be nice for us to actually learn the correct words. Here are a few of our favorite lullabies with the traditional lyrics.
